I joined a Startup Accelerator

Saturday, July 18th, 2026.

It's called Colosseum and based in San Francisco. I entered Zoneless into their recent hackathon and won a prize, then got the offer to receive some investment and join their next cohort!

To be open & transparent (and I'd want to know this), I gave away 7% for $250k (their standard terms).

As someone who has very much loved the freedom of the indie-hacking/bootstrapping life the past few years - it was quite a tough decision to make.

But, what I'm trying to build with Zoneless; trusted payments infrastructure, it makes more sense going down this path.

This is also a crypto-focused accelerator - and I'm not really a crypto guy! So that's been pretty interesting, but the connections to the tech Zoneless uses are extremely strong (stablecoins, Solana).

I've been here 2 weeks now, and had a lot of fun! (even though England lost to Argentina), met some awesome people, learnt a lot, and worked extremely hard.

We have a demo day in 6 weeks, and that deadline is a crazy forcing function to get stuff done.

I've also pivoted Zoneless slightly, I'm no longer going after Stripe Connect, I'm trying to build a fully open-source version of the whole of Stripe, built on stablecoins.

I'm excited! I have a lot to build - going to try and update this blog more whilst I'm here.
