I'm back in business, both with writing here on this daily blog, and with Mailoji!
Miraculously, the failed payments rate has dropped from 70%, to maybe 15-20% - still not ideal, but a lot better than before.
What changed? One thing: the customer.
The high failed payments rate were all from customers who signed up through TikTok last year.
The low failed payments rate were all from customers acquired via a Product Hunt launch from last year.
My guess is Product Hunt users are potentially a bit more mature, make less sketchy online purchases, and lose their credit cards less frequently.
This is a massive relief. - Mailoji can potentially grow now instead of losing customers like a leaky bucket.
It's a super passive business - so hopefully I can just hold onto it for 10 years or so and it snowballs to some super high annual revenue number.
