It's super dark outside this morning, so I guess that summer is pretty much over.
Yesterday I added a free tier to Paper Website, which lets you try out the Paper to Website process with limited features.
For example, you can only process 3 pages per day, and if you want to change designs, add analytics, send newsletters, or go online, you're met with a big blue subscribe button.
I'm now very happy with this freemium model. I think if I was to use Paper Website as a real customer, I'd want to try it first.
It also partly solves a marketing problem ( and I'm a very lazy marketer). If people can use it for free, they'll tell other people about it. I also get an email address, that I can use to tempt a free user to upgrade in the future.
Someone has already tried to sign up with the email address fake@fake.fake - it's a start at least. I'm hoping I will have at least one, free user by the end of today, which, would be interesting, as no real user has tried it yet.
I found myself quite excited to write this blog post this morning, which is a good sign. I was keen to check if I had any new email subscribers too - which is a fun dopamine hook to expand on in the future.
