Niching Down

There's now only 3 weeks to go until demo day for this accelerator - time is going fast; I've been in SF for a month now!

My main goal for the remaining weeks is to get more real integrations of Zoneless live (other than PromptBase). Honestly - it's pretty tough - but I think I'm on the right path now.

In my last post, and what I'd been working on the previous few weeks, was a fully blown open-source payment processor - basically a 1:1 clone of Stripe but built on stablecoins.

This is still the plan long term, but I felt like I was heading down a path of building something too big and general and quite average right now.

So, I took a pause, and a step back, and decided to really focus on the niche I know for now: creator payouts for marketplaces.

This feels right in a whole lot of ways: It's the area hit worst by Stripe's fees, and something I know extremely well and can talk about for hours - I've already started a second blog just about building & growing marketplaces!

I've pivoted the wording of the site back to this, and tucked checkouts, subscriptions and payments on a sub-page for now.

I want to build something awesome that a few people love - instead of something okay that people are a bit meh about. Then see where things go from there.

So I'm basically back to where I started with Zoneless, but it feels great.
