Over the past couple of weeks, I've been posting Paper Website social media content pretty consistently to Twitter and Instagram.
I've been happy with how it's going, even if there's been no direct, visible results. The feeds are looking a lot fresher than they were before.
However, yesterday I made a really interesting discovery. Randomly, I decided to post a video to Instagram as a "Reel" instead of a normal video - look at these results!
An average Instagram post from this account usually gets 50 impressions - this nearly got 2,000. One simple change to the post type 20x'd the reach of the post.
It totally makes sense - these Al-powered feeds push content to people so they don't have to go out and find it. Even better, it's probably reaching people who have similar interests to a Paper website users.
The exact same video with the same caption posted to Twitter (where I have more followers), only got 126 views.
I'm going all in on Reels now. I've also opened a TikTok account for the exact same reasons. I saw the power of TikTok before with Mailoji
Old social media is dead - viva la Al video feeds.
