Okay, actually 13 days later, but I thought I’d update how the launch of Zoneless went.
In short - not too bad! I’d been working on Zoneless on and off since last Summer, so the main victory was actually getting it out the door so other people could use it. I genuinely feel like I’ve freed up a bit of brain space now it’s launched.
In terms of traction, I’ve had one random person contribute to the codebase, 22 people fork the repo, and 259 stars - which serve as some great internet points that, are a bit useless, but maybe instill a bit of trust in the project.
No one has emailed me saying Zoneless has been integrated into their platform yet, so this is my next goal: get a real marketplace (other than PromptBase) using it.
This is the thing with open source software that you can just download from Github. There might be people using it, but I have no idea!
My other goal (which ties in with the first) is: would anyone pay to run a Zoneless instance for them - can I get a first customer?
