29. Reddit Ban

Thursday October 21st 2021

I haven't managed to go into the "full-focused" marketing mode I was eluding to on Monday, but the small bits of marketing I have done seem to be working.

Yesterday I posted on/r/journaling about Paper Website, and again it became a trending post that brought traffic to my website.

Unfortunately I woke up this morning to find the post removed, and I'd been banned from the subreddit. I sort of expected this as/r/journaling is more moderated, but oh well. I have 20 more subreddits to try!

I'm still waiting on some sort of indication that my custom notebooks will be ready, or if they have ever been created yet. This is my first experience using Alibaba, so I have no idea what I should be expecting the manufacturing process to be like. I guess it's a good learning experience.

I did another marketing email for Mailoji yesterday, and sent 1600 people an email about the "new gift feature" on Mailoji (this feature has actually been around for six months - I just never told anyone..).

Results were okay, doing about $80 ARR in sales. A single annual plan on Paper Website is now $99/yr - so it's putting things in perspective as to how many little products you need to sell to equate to one higher priced one.

I am off to Bucharest for the weekend with some friends, and am heading off very early on Friday morning - so unless I am feeling very proactive, at 2 am, this will be my last Paper Website/daily blog post this week.

See you on Monday!

(I just wrote this blog post on my sofa - thought it would be difficult as I usually write at a desk, but was so chill!)
